Abstract

This paper analyzes the dispute which arose within the Predicants order as a consequence of the great wastes which were caused by St. Rose of Lima’s canonization in 1671. They included a fraud. In this lawsuit were involved not only the main Dominican authorities and other distinguished sons of St. Dominic, but also the Monarchy and the Holy See.
