Trought the exam of the cannonical process of sanctity of Isabel Flores de Oliva (Santa Rosa de Lima), the first person born in América and admitted between the saints by the church, the author describes the society of Lima at the end of the XVIIth century and the importance of this cannonical process for the emergent local society.
