Coins counterfeitings in convents of Cordoba in 1661

The present study is based on several examples of billon coins counterfeiting in different religious convents of Córdoba in the last years of reign of Philippe IV. The money is the centre of this article and it allows to examine throughly an aspect of the life of religious men and the social, economic and jurisdictional situation that leads them to counterfeit money, supported by members of civil society.
