“Ad Limina” Visits from Latin American Churches 1800-1900

The paper includes a revision and analysis of the reports held in the vatican archives of "ad limina visits" of the Latin American dioceses build during the Spanish period. The global view of the acomplishment of this rule, the constants and general problems wich these crurches had during the XIX century; besides the hermeneutic evaluation of these sources, as an important documental set to begin or to deepen historical ecclesial studies.
