In this paper a reflection is realized on the influences of the ancient world, both Roman and Greek and oriental, in the iconography of the Middle Ages. The goal is to carry out a synthesis, based on bibliographical analysis, about the most important trends, which are influential in the romanic and gothic art of the Plasencia's churches.
