This work aims to explore the way in which the chronicler José de Sigüenza has dealt with Hieronymite monasteries in the Crown of Aragon, highlighting the specificities of this territory and their integration into the Order’s structure, especially after 1415. It will be analysed thus the polycentricity in the creation of monasteries, their gradual integration into the Order, and their progressive “marginalization” within the order’s organizational structure throughout the 15th century. The article will conclude with a series of general considerations.
