Books of hours 15th century, Incunabula, Paris, Duchy of PastranaAbstract
This study covers the incunabulum Hore intemerate secundum usum romanum, that belongs to the library of the Duchy of Pastrana, unknown until now. The work was produced by the Parisian printers Thielman Kerver and George Wolf. This issue brings to eight the number of copies preserved of the 26th of April 1499 edition. This study analyses in detail the incunabulum, which is beautifully produced on vellum parchment, richly illuminated with miniatures and illustrated with numerous engravings, which constitute a comprehensive iconographic program of Christian devotion. Photographs of the incunabulum are included.
